Winter’s round the corner
Autumn leaves are shed
The birds are looking hungry
And the squirrel’s gone to bed
The bikes are in the garage
Much frustration, I confess
But lots and lots and lots of rain
Has made the track a mess
Can’t risk the muddy surface
And end up in the hedge
Guess we’ll wait for better days
Until then we’ll just ‘veg’
I might just do some blogging
Get the brain in gear
How about a poem
As we look towards next year?

Great poem, complete with weather report! I’m wondering if you took that (great) photo while riding your bike?

I did take the photo Lisa – sort of – well actually the GoPro that was fixed to the front of my bike did! Then I scrolled through the video and picked out ‘clips’ that I liked 🙂

That’s a good way to enjoy your ride, be safe and enjoy it again later! Thanks!

Ha! My baby has been off the road for a while, but a good friend has let me put her in his garage, which is wonderful!

Our grey, rainy days recently turned into cold and crisp with blue sky! It should dry up the mud with any luck. 🙂

I don’t mind winter, but the mud does suck (pun intended).

Good to hear from you again. So now you’ve put the bikes to sleep until spring, how’s it been?

Hi Tiramit, I hope you’re doing well – I’ll pop over to your blog soon to see what’s been happening. We had a lovely busy biking summer with lots of visitors. But I’m really enjoying the quiet hibernation of winter and dark evenings by the fire.

Great poem. Thanks. My “baby’s” in the garage, restless for a warm winter or early spring.

Thanks Michael! We’ve just had four or five days of heavy frost and it looks like the track has dried up well enough to sneak out for a ride. Maybe tomorrow!:)
